 Hello everyone!
We are back with a new forum event for Christmas.
It is time to put your creative hats on and let your imagination flow!
What do you have to do?
Create a story about WLO with the theme being Christmas/Winter.
The story should not exceed 500 words and it can be any genre you want (Something PG13 obviously. Let’s keep things clean).
You can make the story either as some kind of quest, or create a story between existing characters or even make your own new characters.
(But make sure you present them to us as well, so we understand who exactly are they).
Just let your imagination go wild and have fun!
Rules:
 1. One entry per person.
 2. After you finish your story, send me a DM on DISCORD (Kyuut.Rini#8723) with it following the template below.

(For example: Talking about Jesus in a story it’s allowed as long as it doesn’t discriminate other religious beliefs)
5. The stories have to be written in English and respect the Winter/Christmas theme.
6. No copyright contexts. I will immediately disqualify anyone who has copy-pasted someone else’s work even if it’s just one sentence.
(The only way I will allow this if it makes sense in the story but it’s quoted and the original author its specified.)
7. Have fun and show us how creative you can be!
How will the winner be selected?
After the deadline for sending in your stories, I will post everyone’s story – 1 story, 1 post –and you guys can vote your favorite by liking the post/story on the forum.
Not all votes will be taken into consideration as I will have a few requirements for people who like the stories which will be posted later.
Also, everyone who is participating in the event should vote at least 1 story (that is not theirs) as a matter of fair-play.

Voting Requirements
- New Forum Users (accounts created 1 day before this post/update) are not allowed to vote / Votes won’t be taken into consideration.
This is to keep people away from trying to make new accounts just to vote for their own story.
- The contest participants are not allowed to vote for their own story, but they are highly encouraged to vote for another story they like!
- Users will need a minimum of 5 posts in order for their vote to be counted.
- The contest participants can vote for other stories without having the 5 posts count.
- The votes with LIKE will be taking into consideration, not the ones with LOL.

Grandma's Coffee

In the cold winter, Emily smells her coffee as she hears the whistling sound of wind hitting her window. Looking through the window are her grandchildren building a snowman alongside her daughter Xaolan under the Starry night the constellation of the stars bright up the sky. Cracking of firewood from the fireplace with Jingle Bells echoing throughout the house. Chits and chatter from the kitchen can be heard as her children prepare the wholesome dinner for Christmas night and Emily gets a whiff of roasting turkey sipping through the oven door from across the room. Smiling away, under the Starry night with Aquarius, Capricorn and Pisces brightening up the sky. With the pleasant smell, and chatters from across the room accompanied with Christmas song, she remembers her time when she spends time in the kitchen cooking with her daughter every Christmas years ago. Moments later, the oven rang, the timer is done, and the turkey is out. While Jack, (Xaolan’s Husband) gathers everyone into the dining hall taking their respective seats. A moment of silence is given as Jack give thanks for the food as the sound of grandma’s chair rocking back and forth can he heard. Amen.

Christmas Eventby jasonchiamOnce upon a time, there was a village called Welling, which have a legend of obtaining the bless by exchanging gifts with Santa Claus. However, the Santa Claus would only exchange the gifts with the people if he received 3 mysterious items which are Safety Bell in gold color, Wish Bell in silver color and Christmas Bell in blue color. The bells can be found around the village but they were hide deeply.
Everyone only allowed to exchange the gift once. There were many people visiting Welling Village just to attend the event to obtain the bliss for the next whole year. People are allowed to share their extra bells with others only if they are willing to do that. Stealing and robbing were prohibited and the criminals will be punished.
The one who is willing to share their bells expected to be happier because with their little action, they can help others to achieve the goals.
In a nutshell, my Christmas hope is to hope all the nwlo players live peacefully in the same community and help each others just like the people in the story.
(This story is to salute the Christmas event in ewlo since that is my most favorite event in ewlo  )

✨The Extra-Terrestrial Christmas ✨ by ozone2
Our story begins in a dark little corner of the well-known village of Welling, more specifically - The ET Resting Area. The aliens Mira and Oz had seen how joyful humans are during this gift-giving sock-hanging period and decided that they shall too participate in similar recreational activities.
Firstly, Mira decided to prepare some delicious food to put on the levitating board (also known as the alien table) for “it is not the special day without the special sustenance”. (From Strange Planet's Comics)
In the meanwhile, Oz went out to get some sweet mild poison (or alcohol as humans call it) for them to ingest in the late evening. Both had hung up feet fabrics above the flame enclosure and went outside to take in the beautiful night sky and sing Christmas carols:
♩ “Oh the atmosphere’s unpleasant, ♫
♪ But the flames are incandescent, ♬
♫ So if there’s vapor in the skies – ♩
♬ Crystallize, crystallize, crystallize!” ♪

The ETs were a little shy and did not wish to be seen by any humans, especially as they were casually singing human-holiday songs. But everything took a sudden turn when an actual human just flew by and noticed them! “Ah! There is an ET!” - yelled the human.
“I didn't know that humans can come to the dark place, it is unimaginable…” – mumbled Mira, a bit upset.
“This is for you. Please don't leak the secret of the ET's resting place.” – said Oz, handing the adventurer a Forgotten Scroll.
The aliens have since relocated and that is why you don’t see or hear from them when you visit the Welling Village anymore. Although, if you haven’t tried going there, give it a go, they might have come back!

Note from the author Before you read: - Firstly, I want to apologize in advance for any grammatical, spelling, English, errors found in the story.
On some occasions google translate was used to find a word in English.
- Secondly, the story assumes that you have played Wonderland Online previously and understand some of the main lore in it, as this story utilizes some and expands on it (mostly pet related quests & DQs, most notably Fred's).
At the very least, you have completed the quest in Welling Village where the Kelan leader dies, might be known as the quest that allows you to enter Troll Cave with Roca.
Besides that, all you need to know is that Venus is one of the pets/companions in the game.
Fall of Beauty

Icicles glimmering and reflecting sunlight just as the sun peeks at dawn. A spacecraft lands at the snowy island. Aboard is a beautiful lady with long, rosy-gold hair in a silky red gown, Venus, accompanied by a young girl, Pearl, with short black hair and a pink jacket.
Pearl awes at everything, from the Christmas trees to the candy-canes on the walls of the ice-cave.
“Finally,” cheered Pearl, “can’t wait to meet your guardian!”
“It’s been so long since I’ve last seen her… I hope she likes my gift…” sighed Venus
“She will! Besides, visiting her is more than enough of a present!”
“I hope so… I can’t thank her enough for raising me when Father was busy with Athena. All I have from him is this bracelet.” She said as she fiddled with it.
As they enter the ice-cave, Pearl asked “Why does she live here?”
“She loves the cold. Everyday is Christmas here.” Venus paused then continued “you know, maybe she’ll let us enter Santa’s factory next door and see the elves preparing the gifts if we ask nicely.”
Pearl’s eyes sparkled.
They arrive at the end of the cave and find a wooden door ajar. Venus knocked and entered to find Khione, Goddess of Snow, on the floor lifeless… bloodless… She was no taller than Venus with teal hair.
She rushed over calling her “Auntie! Auntie!”
Across the room was a silhouette, beside the ice throne, holding a wine glass half-filled with the darkest, seemingly, red wine. Revealing half of his face, he said soullessly “I expected it to taste more… pure…” It was none other than King Howert! “…Not as impure as Hecate’s though. The gods sealed me… now I’ll take their divine powers and kill them.” Venus’ knees buckled from disbelief of his escape and murder as Pearl stood at the entrance with rage, ready to avenge Fred, but had her heart struck by an icicle in a flash, then collapsed.
“Not as inconvenient as I thought…” he grinningly said. “Beauty, though, is something I already possess,” he smirked as he flipped his tangled, silver hair.
He targeted Venus with lightning bolts, but they were deflected as Venus’ armlet glowed.
“Zeus…” he muttered “such power I cannot defeat yet… Your agonized demise will be soon...”
Before Venus could grasp what happened, he evaporated in the air leaving behind sparks.
Venus rushed over to treat Pearl, but it was too deep. She took out a lily from the wrapped gift and fed Pearl the petals individually, transferring her life.
“It’s too early for you to leave this world…. I guess I’ll join her and spend time with her there instead,” she said calmly.
Pearl awoke healed to see Venus lying inanimate. Recalled what happened, she hurriedly tried to awaken her but couldn’t and swore to avenge her.
Outside the cave, she buried Venus with Khione in the snow as tears escaped her eyes, leaving behind the lily’s stem, her armlet, and the snowglobe on her grave.
“D-D-Don’t forget the gift,” Pearl sobbed trying to surpass her tears.

Christmas in Hawaii

Frederico and Roca are both silent as they leave Ghostdom, both feeling equally guilty for the death of Niss. Fred for not having enough power to overcome Howert’s control sooner and Roca for being careless and dealing the blow that ended her life. Roca speaks the first words as they are approaching the exit of the cave, “Fred, I’m sor…,” Fred cuts her off before she can say she’s sorry because he doesn’t want to hear her speak. He knows it’s not really her fault, but he hates her almost as much as he hates himself right now.
As they head back out to sea with nothing except Niss’s staff to remember her by, they notice that it’s snowing, the first time this year. Roca has never seen snow before, growing up in the mild climate of Kelan, but the snow is somehow oddly familiar to her. Roca is puzzled as to why she feels like she’s seen snow before. She then remembers the time her and Niss visited Hawaii. Niss’s favorite sight was at the top of the mountain as they watched the ash fall from the sky. She told Roca it reminded her of Winter, her favorite season. Roca didn’t understand it at the time because the ash just made everything look gloomy, but now that she see’s the real thing she begins to cry. The snow is as beautiful, elegant, and innocent as Niss was. “Fred, let me take you to the places I explored while I was with Niss. I want you to know the person your sister became while you were away.” said Roca. Fred doesn’t even say a word before she knows that he would want nothing more than that.
They start at North Island, where Roca and Niss first met. Roca explains how lost and confused Niss felt when nobody could understand her, but she could sense Niss was kind. As they walk to Kama Cave they notice snowflakes falling. This is the first snow on North Island in Roca’s lifetime. She believes it’s Niss saying thanks. At the top of the cave they encounter the tree Niss found her staff in. What was once a withering old tree is now beautiful covered in the powdery snow. Fred and Roca continue their journey to Revival Isle where Fred learns of Clive’s sacrifice. Next to Egypt and Maya where they broke the seal on Niss’s memories, and she could finally speak again. Fred is ashamed from all the pain he caused.
Finally, Fred and Roca arrive in Hawaii. They climb the mountain to where Roca’s favorite memory of Niss took place. Fred pauses for a moment before saying “It looks like it’s always snowing here.” Roca smiles as she knows that’s the same reason Niss loved this place. Fred plunges Niss’s staff into the ground and stares at the horizon of his sister’s final resting place. The excessive traveling almost made him forget what day it was. Before climbing back down the mountain Fred places his hand on his sister’s staff and whispers “Merry Christmas Niss.”

Dark Winter Night

Welling village
This dark winter night,
with just the moon and stars as the light.
Bright enough to see,
what’s hidden beneath the cloud’s spree.
The land and forest wrapped in a blanket of snow,
the home to humans and creature unknown.
Near the forest, cave and frozen lake,
A village amidst there lays awake.
The first you see is the big grape farm,
Now covered in white with charm.
With stone and wooden houses big and small,
in the middle a sparkling tree stands tall.
The chimneys and fireplace ablaze,
while they wait gathered around the fire, faces with amaze.
Covered in warmth, with harmony and sound,
Not a single frown to be found.
The young contended as they play,
while they wait for gifts for next day.
The old indulged themselves with drinks,
while couples send each other winks.
With cups of wine spillage,
There is no other like Welling Village.

The tragic story of the forgotten Niss

Once upon a time there was a great legend.
On this Christmas however he isn’t the hero our story!
This story starts are the start of his adventure, the young hero rushes through the enemy and adds to his strength like no other.
However, the speed of his progression was detrimental to some others on north island.
Here the tale of the lost Niss starts.

Niss wakes up on the cold day of Christmas, not knowing where she came from or where to go.
Her latent abilities however frighten the local wildlife making them not go close to her, keeping her safe for now.
Here comes the match girl, she really needs to stock up for winter and she knows a spot next to a majestic tree.
Here she meets the young Niss, lost and confused.
Confused and not knowing what to do she asks her name and asks what she is doing there.
Niss explaining that she doesn’t know anything, has a whole conversation while helping the girl gather some sprigs.
The match girl talks about the great day it will be since her grandmother and herself will get visited by Santa this year, Niss get intrigued and find out if she was good, he would visit her too.
After a whole day of gathering and the sun almost starting to set, Match girl hurries back to her grandmother, leaving Niss saying “See you soon Niss”.
Niss cheerfully says goodbye and sits at the tree with the collected tinder and sprigs.
That night Niss notices it starts to snow and she tries to get a fire going.
This however wasn’t enough to keep her warm during the night and as her conscience slowly fades, her body growing colder, her fingers freezing up, her skin becoming pale.
She closes her eyes.
“Niss, Hey Niss, I’ve come here to bring you presents.”
Niss opens her eyes to a gentle old man with a big beard, reindeers in toe the man hands her all kinds of presents.
Delicious treats, beautiful accessories fit for a princess, he starts a fire and spirits and fairies alike gather.
Niss enjoys an amazing Christmas night, but when she closes here eyes the laughter and heat disperse.
Niss hears the last Bells ring and laughter and chatter of the fairies’ fade.

First of all thank you for hosting this event! Its a good idea and actually kinda rare for having this kind of event haha. Its a bit hard for me tbh since im not vry good w english but i tried my best. Thanks to everyone who voted for me. Really appreciate that. Overall, its all good  |

I like to thank everybody who supported me. Without you guys' support i won't have gotten 1st. Now time to release my song to the world. There are always pros and cons about popularity-type contests. The good thing is that people can't just create an account to vote. Overall, it's been nicely planned. Thanks Yoshi and Rini for giving me more Christmas Presents.
