As you all know the first Forum event has concluded, Congratulations to all the Winners.

Here's a couple of Friendly Feedback, I've thought I'll share as someone who has "insider" news.

For starters, the general Idea of the Event, Is frankly moronic, It's a topic that's highly preferential, It requires people who has the ability to judge based on "case by case" rather then judging It from a stand-point, which unfortunately has happened.

I highly suggest, If you were to make a topic that has the potential to be preferential, PLEASE have the right group of people with the right face value to judge.

Participant A can have a Easy topic that's easy to execute, hard to mess up.
Participant B can have a Hard topic that's hard to execute, easy to mess up.
Both will be scored EQUAL, as long as Participant A extends the topic, with pointless bullshit and glitter, that completely removes the actual context of the topic.

If People are wondering why, It's because of inconsistencies In the scoring, as well as the Scoring guidelines being a massive disappointment.
If you've taken a look, at the top 3, 2 of them are Quest guides, 1 Is a General Topic Guide, None of them are Specialized Guides like Alchemy/Manufacturing/Etc.

The next thing I'll point, Is how poorly the event was done.

Deadline, Is frankly too long, There should've been a urgency forced upon the Participants, Which would've showed who really intended to do well.
Frankly, Probationary Mods, should not have the authority to judge, they're probationary mods for the Pserver, not NWLO, which meant that they could've just half ass glanced through, In-fact with the reasoning behind the scores given, I'm 100% inclined to believe they are either biased or not Into It.
Deadline, AFTER event, there should've been a deadline for scoring the event, as well as a deadline for Result, neither was given, which made me felt like It wasn't a event.

Lastly, I want to point out that If I had the authority, I would've immediately removed more then half of the Scoring, as It felt like a copy paste/Pre-plan setup with the reasonings and how similar every single detail felt.

Was there even discussions made, on why A was scored [X], why B was Scored [Y], why A's Reasoning was [C]?
Personally, I don't think the [sponsor] In this scenario Amy, should not have been In the judging team, If I was the sponsor n I had to deal with this kind of shit, I would've immediately withdrew, n file a detailed complain towards the highest authority.
I suggest a Judge team, When It comes to judging, I find that a team specifically for judging would do best, If you wish you can have 1 higher-up get involved as well.

Hi Gosick, thanks for your feedback. We will certainly take all your points of suggestions and criticism to account, and discuss it in our future event to see how we can improve overall.

A few things I would like to point out tho.

Please do notice that this whole website is being hosted/run by one person. It might seem that I have 2 or 3 people helping me keep the website running, but that's not the reality. I am paying for the website myself, I design the theme (not the banner) myself, I hosted/sponsored the event myself, not because I am so self centered, but it was more of a water testing to see how well the forum goes.
I am not trying to pat myself on the back in-front of everyone, I am just trying to simply tell you why things might not be picture perfect as out old forum. I obviously don't do everything right and I don't know everything. But as time passes and I do more events, I will learn and hopefully my team will as well.
I do have a Judge Team recruitment thread locked in the Mod room, but the only reason why I am not recruiting any, is because of the lack of members we have. The platform is simply not big enough for another rank.

I am aware that some unfairness on topics and templates might happen, but I would like to inform you that we did our absolute best. It might not show, but I know for sure my team did their best to judge the entries equally and fairly. I posted a first sample of the template, and some moderators made some adjustments to it to help fix some imbalanced scores or judging that might happen.

2 week deadlines for posting event entries is not very long. If you were around the IGG forums and official forum events hosted by the super moderators who did this for years and IGG staff, a 2 week event was the average forum event duration. These events aren't first poster/first answer wins, it's about taking your time to design something you are completely proud of. With that even 2 weeks didn't help you finish your guide. People should rather take their time, and focus on real life things than rush to get an entry in. That was my goal.

Reasons for no deadline to when scoring are out is simple. We may run into problems that delay the score. Just like the problem we ran into with the template, and the problem I had in real life that made me delay the scores. Giving people deadlines that we don't stick too can infuriate them more than leaving the deadline open. As you can see I gave a deadline to Friday, and I wasn't able to complete it, not because I didn't want too, or because I was not into it, but it's because things just pop out of no-where, and I have 3 people in my team who and myself who started college/school just this month. We are still adjusting to things so I apologize if we are late/inconsistent with things we promise. (not to milk the whole OG IGG wlo forum topic, but official IGG forum events also did not give deadlines to when the winners will be announced, the judge team took their time to evaluate, and when someone asked when they will be out the response was always "The judge team are taking their time to carefully evaluate, we will post an announcement when the scores are out", I am just mentioning this in-case you wanted to compare it to old events.)
