Bursting is boring...

Made this thread for everyone to post they favorite ewlo memories. Whether it be a rivalry between yourself and another player, or the very first time you had a character reborn... It's always nice to take a trip down memory lane and remember those things passed... For me, my most fond memory of ewlo was duping the first time I discovered bursting. I originally played in Virgo, people would talk about bursting and I ignored, cause I thought it was some high-level stuff that I could wait to discover. Then when I went to Taurus, everyone was calling it "gst" and this cool guy I was questing with introduced it to me. I begged on world for a cow and at the time, I didn't have e-remote- so I sat there for HOURS, pressing each skill, one-by-one, as quickly as possible. I was amazed at how fast I was levelling. Thank you to all the people who put up with me and my manual bursting, while I lied and said I was using e-rem. I thought I was so slick and speedy with it too. The independence of having a team is nice... But I kind of miss recruiting and teaming up with others, getting to know people who I would otherwise have nothing to do with, and posting and seeing "LF> 1/2/3 Fires for gst!" on world. Especially when a high-level fire would offer to burst with you- that was like striking gold. Ah... good times.

I have lots of fond and funny memories from ewlo so I will share some of mine as well: 1. I first played wlo when i was 10 so my english wasnt that good and Gemini was the last server to come out at that time and it had the tag "NEW" which in my 10 y/o brain it meant "OH IT MUST BE FOR NEW PLAYERS" And thats the only reason why I played on Gemini. 2. I had no idea how to make money so I would spend hours in Welling just collecting the mushroom, grass and grapes around there just to make 100 gold in 2h . When I wold a pumpkin pet I somehow received and i sold it for 3k i just felt so damn rich. 3. Once when I was in Holy I saw a guy with a romanian name and asked him if he is from ro and he was all sulky and grumpy and left a bad first impression but he was waiting for another romanian guy and they were the first friends I made in EWLO and they also used to live 15 min away from me so we became very good friends in real life too for the next couple of years

When I was on the Taurus server many years ago, I would do a lot of crafting in my tent, minding my own business. Sometimes wanderers would come in, say hi, or just look around if I had anything to sell. There was this one girl, however, that decided my tent would be her new hangout spot. All she would do is come into my tent and hang out there admiring my decorated interior. The first time I met her, she randomly invited herself in and started complimenting my work and had small talk with me. I was confused why she spent so much time in there just sitting on my chairs and cushions since all I was doing was crafting things. I felt it was too boring to be there. When I started talking with her, she opened up to me more and we became friends. Found out she lived in Florida and I live in California, so it was cool to know another US player. Years went on and she and I developed a close bond; to the point where we shared personal things with each other through contact outside the game. We became best friends. We had talked about meeting up one year, but due to her being so young, it wasn't a good idea until she graduated first. Shortly after she graduated, we decided to finally set up a meet and greet after knowing each other for about 5 years. The following year, I tell her where I would be staying so we can plan to see or do something together while I stay there. Florida = Disney World, so of course Disney was involved somewhere in that. A few months had passed and I see posts from her close friends and family giving their thoughts and prayers to her. So I look for posts from her mother and see that she had just passed away. Car accident. I decided to cancel the trip there, but instead schedule a sooner trip to attend her funeral. I got to meet her brother, sister and parents. Unfortunately, that was also the first time I got to meet my best friend. Although this is a very sad memory for me, it is also one of the best memories I have with my best friend stemming from WLO. She made the game fun even if we weren't really playing the game. Just hanging out in my tent, sometimes with other people, and just chilling. Those were more fun times than questing I think. It's the little things like that. I love when you can find people to connect with that make it more than just about the game. I wish more people were like my best friend. I miss you and love you, Gia. I'm playing nWLO for you in your memory.

My personal favorite EWLO memories:-
1. The noob days, I am not talking about just mine, I meant everyone's! I started playing the game around 2009ish so everyone was still fairly new. It was so fun to get so excited about hitting level 35 and wearing a defense armor. It was also so great to go visit Oslaya, see the dinos and maybe even catch one! It was so fun and fresh and I definitely missed when IGG was more involved with our community. 2. The 2016 summer time. I met so much friends in 2015 summer including my bff Mayoosh who is a fellow admin, and I met a lot of other people. I started also becoming so much more active on the forum around that time. It was a great experience for me and I learned so much. 3. Selling quests. I used to be a "full time" quest seller on EWLO back in the summers of 2016-closure. I sold all kinds of quests, definitely my favorite one was FB.
EWLO has a special place in my heart, and I will always cherish it. it helped me through so much mentally, and I wish I could go physically thank IGG for it. I do think they could've did a better job around the end of the game, but after all they are a business, they know what they are doing, and they have to get on the flow of what ever is trending so they can make a living.
Thank you to IGG, EWLO, and the community for making such great memories that I will forever hold onto! Hopefully this forum brings back some memories and helps us all make new ones.

I remember I started playing only thanks to my older sister without whom i'd have never discovered the game. I started super young before I even could speak proper english since it is my third language. Me and my childhood friend played in virgo which was my sister's server too, I remember we were limited to kelan and both of us barely made it past lvl 15 at that time . Also I had no idea where to put points so i just put 1,1,1,1,1 on each stat . The first time my sis helped me beat the troll and took me to holy was surprising to say the least I was like "omg this village is so beautiful how come I've never been here before??" little did I know there was much more to be discovered. Then came the day my sis got rid of my messy char for me and burst me to lvl50 and gave me some noob eqs (which I still remember exactly to this date) and then she gave me a book4 which i sold for 30k in a stall, that made me feel extremely rich and the sum lasted for so long! here's what the set looked like btw

I've had a lot of amazing moments on eWLO, but the only thing I think it's worth mentioning is the following one. I played with a girl ever since we both started the game. She didn't even knew how to write and read back then, so our friendship started with a spam of joining the team and emoticons. Somehow, she became my online best friend and our group started extending. At some point in the game we stopped doing quests, leveling or anything useful, just to go to Hanging Garden and simply hang out. Sometimes we would throw tent parties (and we were bringing our alts along to make it look like there are more people duuuh, we were lame like that). We actually met in real life, she is the sweetest person and we are still talking after all these years. Attachments:

Since I am still awake, might as well contribute.
But this one's not really memorable in a good way.
I was 11 or 12 when I started playing EWLO and this guy started 'sexting' me out of nowhere.
He started by casually flirting which I thought was just a very friendly talk. But then he started mentioning that he will do naughty things to me which really raised red flags but since I was a kid, I cannot react correctly. He then told me to join his team, brought me to his tent, and went to the FREAKING TUB (you guys know how that looks, right? When in a team and are in a tub? Haha). I plugged the PC right out the socket.
So there's that, my very first horrifying online experience.

When I was younger I did the same thing- albeit consensually! I was around your age at the time as well (9 or 10), and way too young to be simulating being naked with a girl! Oh thank you for this, I needed a good laugh today.

When I look back, it is actually quite funny and I guess everyone's guilty with doing something fishy in that tub And thanks to that, I moved from that server (Cancer) to Aries and found lots of friends. Hoping others will also post their experiences, I want to feel nostalgic~
